I recently completed the course on the design basis of RC buildings, and overall, I found it to be very informative and well-structured. I would rate it 4 out of 5, as it provided valuable insights into RC building design and covered key topics thoroughly. That said, there are a few areas where I believe the course could be improved to enhance the learning experience. While the instructor was knowledgeable, the accent made it a bit challenging to follow along at times. Taking small breaks or sipping water during the lectures could help ensure smoother delivery and reduce minor distractions. Regarding the earthquake modeling section, it would be beneficial to include more detailed calculations and examples. The reliance on tables and references to IS codes, while helpful for some, can be difficult for learners not familiar with the Indian building code. Providing step-by-step explanations would make this section more accessible and universally applicable. Lastly, adding supplementary resources, such as downloadable files, worksheets, or plans, would greatly support learners in understanding and applying the concepts. Overall, the course was a valuable learning experience, and with these minor adjustments, it has the potential to be exceptional. Thank you to the instructor for their effort and expertise.
