This is more like a long series of promotional\commercial videos rather than practical tutorial. Instructed by different persons, the course lacks integrity and they go back and forth between different topics and repeat a lot of things multiple times. Some parts are tooo much basic and some parts are too advanced. A much shorter course in Udemy was much more helpful for me.

Great refresher course on Power BI but unfortunately most of the PBIX files are missing the underlying excel files making it impossible to follow through with the activities.

too many wrong questions in the mock exam

The course is extensive and detailed. However, there are a couple of BIG reasons why you shouldn't sign up for this course, and I'm hoping Coursera can make the necessary changes before deceiving people. 1- The monthly payment of this course is 49USD . It took me a few months to complete it, maybe some will take less, but certainly the majority would take a good 3-6 months considering each one's competing priorities. So not cheap! The main reason I went all the way to complete this course, probably each one of you the same, is because of this stupid microsoft voucher of 50% upon completion of the whole programme. The question here is, would I take the whole course to prepare myself for the exam? Probably not. So, I noticed a number of people in the course's forum complaining about where to get the vouchers. I thought it would be something straightforward. I'm a tech guy so I know these things can be automated - if you complete the course you'd get an automated email with the voucher, simple. But no! You need to be proactive and send a message to the customer service. This process may take days or weeks. Mine is taking weeks. If I'm studying a very lenghty course and at the end of the course I'm ready to take the certification, then not having the voucher will disrupt my studies completely. When I have the voucher I will need to revisit a lot of content! This whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth.

This course did not provide great review of concepts. Most disturbingly, several quiz responses were bugged: either the software registered the incorrect answer as the correct answer, or the question was worded too vaguely. This resulted in me having to simply retake some quizzes until I input the incorrect response that the software logged as correct. When I did get an answer wrong, the feedback suggested I review pages that did not provide the correct answer. There were also grammatical and spelling errors throughout that made the program seem hastily reviewed.

Very good tutors explaining concepts in a lucid manner. But the graded quizzes at the end have few errors that must be corrected.

Decent course, but the mock exam at the end felt unreasonably difficult compared to the courses/quizzes leading up to it.

practice test marked correct answers wrong, what a waste of time.

I was doubting between giving 3 and 4 stars but finally only gave 3. Most of the exercises and videos were good refreshers to revisit the main concepts but the final PL-300 mock exam in "Exam Preparation and Practice" had some shortcomings: 1) Too strict scoring system for multiple choice questions. For example having a score of 0 when correctly answering 2 out of the 4 selections but a third one should have been selected as well is way too strict. 2) Questions on topics not covered in the course e.g. "Which type of security groups are supported in RLS ?" I double-checked the related video and material and nothing to be found. 3) Valid responses incorrectly marked as invalid. For example "Measures can reference columns directly" is marked as incorrect. Well adding a measure "MyMeasure = MEDIAN(Summary[Order Total])" is valid and it's referencing a column, no?

Many of the questions in the final test were on things that weren't covered during the course. And for such a hands-on type of software, it's really disappointing that actually using the software isn't tested. The final tests how well someone memorizes things, not how well they understand or can use the software.

Frankly, the Mock exam is a nightmare. Not because how tough it is, but because how poorly designed it is. There are wrong answers marked as right and it takes forever to figure things out. The recap style lessons were nice, but you screwed up big time towards the end.

Parts of the course are overcomplicated and use too much textbook language. Found myself needing to look up YouTube videos where the language was simpler and easier to understand. I also found that this course mostly explains what the concept is first and not the situations you need to use it until the end of the video, which is backward and can lose you. Overall helpful but as somebody who has high computer literacy and previous experience with Excel and other Microsoft programs, the language needs to be more realistic and easier to understand. I can only imagine what taking this course with little or no experience is like.
